A friend sent me a message encouraging me to participate in a poll offered by U.S. Representative John Fleming:
http://fleming.house.gov/index.html
Do you feel Members of Congress should be forced to enroll
themselves in the health care plan they vote for?
* Yes
* No
Representative Fleming does not understand the Constitution, nor his oath of office. The Federal government is not authorized to regulate health care by the Constitution of the United States. Therefore, under the Tenth Amendment, the Federal government is prohibited from regulating health care. Rep. Fleming and all other members of Congress should oppose the entire bill. No poll is needed.
In any case, any and all Senators and Representatives who vote "aye" to any Federal health care bill will violate their oaths of office and should be impeached. Failing that, they should be recalled by their constituents. Failing that, they should be voted out of office in the 2010 elections.
