Everyone:

A new Congress is convening once again, so it's time to tell our elected representatives what we expect of them. Below is a draft letter I wrote tonight. Please comment.

TIA,

David

United States Representative Jerry McNerney,
United States Senator Dianne Feinstein, and
United States Senator Barbara Boxer:

As my elected representatives in the United States Congress, I hereby direct you to please:

1. Recall your oaths of office, especially:

"... I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States ..."

2. Interpret the Constitution and Bill of Rights according to the intent of the Founding Fathers, and the understanding of the several States and of the People, at the time they were ratified.

3. Recall Amendment X to the Constitution:

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

4. Repeal all laws and withdraw the United States from all treaties which are at variance with the Constitution and Bill of Rights, or which erode the sovereignty of the United States, the sovereignty of the States, or the freedom of the People, and oppose such in the future; especially:

a. The Federal Reserve Act.

b. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

c. The United Nations (UN).

d. The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

e. The Central America-Dominican Republic-United States Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA-DR).

f. The World Trade Organization (WTO).

g. The Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA).

h. The Homeland Security Act.

i. The USA PATRIOT Act.

j. The Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP).

k. The 2008 "bailout packages".

l. The North American Union (NAU).

5. Investigate the eligibility of Barack Obama to serve as President of the United States; and if found to be ineligible, remove him from office. Furthermore, implement laws which require candidates to submit certified documentation when running for public offices which have citizenship requirements.

Sincerely yours,

David Christensen
